VBA is the only one I've ever used, and it's worked perfectly for eons. For DS, the No$ line of course, and for my phone I use My Boy! and DraStic.

Desmume and NO$GBA haven't failed me yet.

But honestly I prefer playing on the actual DS, because stylus control is needed for games such as HGSS and Spirit Tracks.

I still don't get why people use Desmume. No$GBA always worked faster for me, and allowed me to speed the shit up while playing Diamond/Pearl. Now I don't know if nowaydays you can do that in Desmume, but I couldn't back then and sometimes it was even slower than 1x gameplay, I hated it.
