When we meet Lance at the Team Rocket base in Mahogany Town, he helps us destroy their secret operation that was forcing all the Magikarp to evolve in the Lake of Rage. But what if he wasn't really helping us? What if we inadvertently helped Lance steal this secret technology for himself? We all know Dragonair evolves into Dragonite at level 55, but when we end up fighting Lance in the Pokemon League he has THREE Dragonites all below level 55. The timing of these events mathces up perfectly too. Maybe Lance just isn't the dragon master we thought him to be...
