That could work but I've seen a lot of people post that want a Rock/Dark fast velociraptor. The typing is unique to Tyranitar; it'd be nice to have a fast pokemon with that typing. I don't even think it would be too broken with Speed Boost if it was frail because it's 4x weak to Mach Punch and would likely get rekt by Technician Bullet Punches and Band Aqua Jets. Plus, coverage moves aside, M-Lopunny walls it.

On the note of ancient Pokemon (not a fossil/extinct either but whatever), I'd like Relicanth to get a mega evo or something.

I want to build a historic team involving Pokemon like Relicanth, Cofagrigus, fossils, etc. so badly.

I'm making fossil Rock typed variations of existing mons for a Pokemon tabletop campaign, give me some ideas.
So far I've thought of:
Caveman Machop line, Rock/Fighting
Sabertooth Shinx line, Rock/Electric
Cursed Stone Mask/Idol Duskull, Rock/Ghost

Better if it's a 3 mon evolutionary line with a single type but kind of everything can go.
