You're partially right. They're not bad, but they're not better than BW.

That's just my own opinion, of course. I liked BW's focus on new Pokemon and larger number of new Pokemon than XY, I liked the (attempt at a) story, and I liked Unova better than Kalos. But still, XY isn't bad at all.

I actually think I had the least fun with black and white than any other game in the series. I can't begrudge you for liking them if you do though

Like I said, it's a matter of opinion. Personally I had the most fun with them in the series up to that point, though BW2 was even better.
