It is how it works, there are over 20 genes that code for eyecolor, study codominance. I'm pretty sure they teach it in biology classes in highschool. Just wait a couple years and study hard and you might get advanced placement into a highschool biology class while still in middle school. Good luck.

Well, if Sun and Moon take place around the same time or even after the evens of XY it takes place like 2 decades after the events of Red and Blue. Classic characters being older would make sense and that could translate to the anime
