Masuda Method.
When you're breeding a Pokémon, if one of the parents is from a different locale, say and ENG with a JAP, the chances for the egg to be a shiny are doubled.
This stacks with the Shiny Charm, bringing your chances to 4x without it.
So from a 1 in 8000 to a 1 in 2000.

I just did my first Masuda method for a Pokemon catching/hunting Parasect, and after 405 eggs, he has shone. He's got Damp and the egg move Sweet scent, and after I train him, he'll have false swipe and spore as well. I doubt I'll ever Masuda method again, it's just not for me.

Run around the grass patch and keep trying to search for it. Make sure you keep an eye on your Repels

I've ported them to diamond so far, I just need to port them to gens 5 and 6, I have been out of the game since around 2011, I even have a manaphy from Pokemon ranger and the XD jirachi legit but I just bought a 2DS last week and plan on buying Black 2, X, and eventually moon. Yes. There's another program to port from BW/B2W2 to XYORAS, but it's free with Bank.
And eventually you'll be able to send Pokemon from the Virtual Console Gen 1 games to S&M, which likely means that Mew will be plentiful.
