have any of you caught the kanto birds in platinum? they are annoying as fuck. pressure + roost + high level and speed, the can outspeed my mean look sometimes even (moltres manages this every time). i'm using gallade as it can have mean look + false swipe + hypnosis but it dies every time to these fuckers. obviously the solution is git gud which I'm attempting now (grind the fuck out of the gallade) but I would like to hear any other experiences with these birds.

I'd recommend a gengar/haunter as they are naturally pretty speedy and they can learn mean look, spite (so they can't roost), and move reminder can get them hypnosis. Just switch to Gallade for the false swipe when they get low. Good luck :)

spite is a good idea.
everyone seems to recommend ghosts so I will try that if I don't have any luck with gallade. thanks you all
