Btw, Chemistryfag back. I got it all to work on the new3ds without removing the SDCard by going to settings, microsd management, and set it up over your network. Using a Windows PC you can begin to edit files through the network. It's all clean as hell. Works like a charm, go to /r/ppkemonplaza they got a guide or two up there.

yea don't be retarded, when you are below 11.0 you can get a permanent cfw that will allow you to always use homebrew (even when new firmware updates come out), play online and install any game from your sd card without actually owning the cartridge.

if you only use browserhax and menuhax (the one available on 11.0 now) there's 0 chance of bricking.

If you downgrade your old <11.0 ds there is a very slim chance of bricking... or if you use the wrong files (e.g. EU firmware on US system) it's your own fault for not following the guide.

Normally you use CHMM2 to install themes, but in order to keep menuhax, instead you have to put the body_LZ.bin and bgm.bcstrm from the theme inside /3ds/menuhax_manager, run menuhax manager from Homebrew Launcher and use the option to install theme (forgot how it was named).

That thing is just a way to access homebrew. For ORAS, you have to either export you save with JK's Save Manager (get the 3dsx version) or svdt, and open on PKHeX. Or use PCHeX++ to edit directly on the 3DS but it's a bit limited.
