Red Lotus was a great way to go back to the show's roots, though--with focus on bending and actual well-written arcs.

Book 1 was great up until the reveal of Amon (although it is a meta commentary on how we all got so disappointed just like Republic City). Book 2 would have been okay but had too many overused tropes and Jinora having such a central role is ??? Book 4 in general was just weak and focused too much on the Beifongs and too little on the supposed to be central characters, "Team Avatar". It didn't help that Book 4 followed Book 3.
