Current team in Yellow, just obtained the Poké Flute from Mr. Fuji. I have my team assembled, now it's a matter of evolving them all.

I keep all of my other teammates three levels below my starter, so I'm leveling Fearow, Ponyta (newly caught), Graveler, and Weepinbell right now.

haven't lost a single mon yet, haven't really done any grind other than beating the trainers on Route 11 prematurely so I can evolve Sandshrew for the Gym fight

Pretty much whatever you want after Rock Tunnel and Pokemon Tower. You can go kill Blaine before even setting foot in Silph Co.

Gens 1~3 let you get really wonky with completion order. I love it.

Doesn't that make a game's replayable value skyrocket? I'd only want stories that can be controlled. Otherwise, it's a book.

Pokemon already has really high replay value, though the railroading nature of Gen V does make it less fun to replay.

Still, Fighting Blaine before entering Silph, booting Team Rocket out of Mahogany before you even meet Jasmine, and coming back to Brawley's place with a team of level 20-something to beat him up and take his lunch money is pretty fun.

I'm actually tempted to make a guide on how to best REplay a Pokemon game. Sound fun?
