Also, ghosts in general I suppose.

I liked him when I first saw him, used AR to make one with wonder guard back in Pearl to troll my brother. He's kind of hard to use because he's so slow though, and fairy type made him so much harder to use online.

And what build did you use exactly? Currently caught the one in ORAS and honestly, it's hard to take off with at the moment.
Also I might name her Mobius.

Shadow Sneak, Rest, Pursuit, Curse
Full on defensive build. Definitely not what people were suspecting at the time and gimmicky, but fun to play if you could get the rest off after the curse.

I love Spiritomb. One of my favorite Ghost types and one of my favorite Gen IV mons in general. Filled the void for me for ghosts when I got the disappointment known as Dusknoir.
The sets it can have so fun, varied and flexible, and it has some bitchin' lore too. I love the fucked up shit in OR/AS involving it in that New Mauville stuff.
I hacked myself a Wondertomb to cheese the Battle Tower. The game outhaxxed me though by sending Mold Breaker OHKO mons at me though. Pretty dumb yet hilarious.
Im pretty sad over Fairy fucking it over. Its not like him and Sableye had great stats that had to garner them an indirect nerf. I hope he gets a Mega one day like Sableye with a good ability. Pressure is really bad even with Spite and Infiltrator is really whatever barring a sub Mega Gengar.

It's okay. I find many other Ghost types that are cooler, though. It's annoying to battle but I find it very satisfactory once it goes down.
Is it really that bad or are there good sets for it?

No wonder you didn't do well with it.
