Tested with Poliwag (missed shiny karp and not willing to ss celebi) and porygon2. Crowd Power has 90% proc rate at 5-match and it failed twice with Cheer activated (I double-checked, there were extra porygon2 on the board outside the match)

I beat Xern on mobile today with Mawile (lv 3), Klefki (lv 5) and both nidos (lv2).
So your team is more than enough to do it.
Try to get your team to lv3 or 2 at least. you can grind Wobuffet if you dont want to waste hearts.
Once the stage starts try to get a quick jirachi match for the sweet mega boost. Also try to mega evolve mawile as fast as possible. Learn which icons mega mawile erases so you dont waste seconds finding another match when an icon suddenly vanishes due to m-mawiles effect.
ohh... and of course, never let the combo drop. easier said than done, i know

I started on Day 1 3DS, used the HTML glitch to get a million coins, then my 3DS got wet in a freak storm while walking my dog. Got a new one, started a second, sorta joke, run(giving Megaspeedup candies to Slowbro and Mawile, baka). Some people have said that stages that were previously only possible with items were now possible itemless with SS Amphy. It seems more popular for itemless runs too.

I think Amphy's random bolts are better than any 'set' mega pattern, like Manectric or Mawile. Since it's random, it can hit any space on the board, unlike set patterns. And Amphy is always good with random disruptions.

Manectric isn't set. It selects a random column and zig-zags, which helps immensely with vertical disruptions. You are almost guaranteed to clean half or more of a column of blocks or barriers. Ampharos on the other hand is completely unpredictable. You have somewhat better odds if the disruptions are on the sides and closer to the bottom, as the bolts can "stick" there.

At 1500 a level for DD,*40 that's 60K MAX, and that isn't even counting the coin level or any angry skips you might get. Even if you add +5 moves or some shit, it's still 82K, which when you add in the boss level at the end, really sucks, but again, coin levels and angry skips save you a decent amount here. And if you can beat even some of the stages itemless, that just keeps dropping the coin requirement more.
