Greninja is likely the most cost efficient deck in the game, although it isn't as good in expanded. It's a decent deck though so I'm sure it would do fine in expanded.

I'm no expert on legacy but Ninetails/Amoongus is likely the cheapest of the upper echelon of legacy decks. Weavile is probably a fair bit more expensive but is also a better deck in my opinion.

Unless Giratina proves itself to be an uncontrollable cancer, Ninja Boy is probably going to be more consistently used as a 1 of. Pokemon Ranger is reactive, which may mean it's not needed at all.

It was an old school deck used in the base set meta. It used Hitmonchan, Electabuzz, and Scyther. It was pretty much the deck of choice back in the day. Hitmonchan and buzz would do great damage for the amount of energy the required plus they were bulky af compared to the average non evolution poke. But basically you would spam energy removal and have hitmonchan and Buzz sweep.

Yveltal is basically a reactive version of Big Basics. The 130 HP Basics that accelerate energy for 1 Dark is pretty decent, but the 170 HP Basics that actively hurt your opponent more the better they're doing are really good.

Night March is colorless unless you want to use the 10 HP gnaw attack. Vespiquen is colorless. Zoroark and Gallade both only take a DCE to attack, which is what makes them so good. Bats are all single colorless.

Not that guy but there is nothing wrong with playing one copy of a particular trainer card in your deck. Starling megaphone, sacred ash, tool scrapper are a few examples.

Your deck is a mess though. I'll address a few of your supporters. Steven in ass. Tierno is ass.

Use Sycamore and N for drawing instead. You may even use Shauna or Birch.

Make sure you get vs seekers. They are very useful. Pokemon center healing lady is neat but i wouldn't use more than 1 if i has vs seekers.

Singles are shit because you can consistently draw them. You have a 1 in 55 chance of drawing the card you want as your first card. By increasing it to 3 or 4 you increase your odds to 3 or 4 in 55 and lessening the odds of it being a Prize Card. By adding cards that have draw/search power, you cut your deck down since they act as "free" cards you can use to get what you want faster and more consistently.

Situational cards like Trainers or an EX are ok, but having too many single Pokemon cards is a bad idea.

the things i would focus on:
typlosions: you want to have at least 2 or 3 on the bench at a time. that isn't possible without a 4-2-4 line.
ninetales: current cards are fast enough that ninetales doesn't provide enough acceleration for the liabilities it causes you
-2x lasers and bank: so are you trying to poison your opponent or beat them to death with blue flare?
-communication: ultra ball exists and is superior every time time because you're wanting to discard fires for typhlosion or burn dead cards
-items: battle compressor is a stupid good card that gets your typhlosions going quick. if you played reshiphlosion back then, you should be familiar with dual ball as well. vs seeker can decrease your supporter line, but are somewhat expensive to get.
-supporters: seeker doesn't really serve you any good besides retrieving jirachi. you really ought at blacksmith for your type of deck. also consider one or two copies of wally.

Empoleon's line is more of a support thing. It doesn't need to be consistent in this deck to win, but if you managed to put Empoleon/Empoleon BREAK in play it will be quite helpful (in theory, at least) for other Pokémon and can wreck shit by itself.

Maybe if you're absolute shit. You get enough tickets every ~10 wins to enter a tournament. After ~10 tournament wins you should have the packs necessary to build a decent deck that even includes a shaymin. In this way you should have a deck in a month, and this isn't including everything else you get from the wheel or the versus ladder.

The game takes much less time to get into than something like Hearthstone, but it struggles with the fact that theme format is so far removed from the actual game.

While Basic Blue and Basic Green are generally optimal, most theme decks are at least vaguely functional in Trainer Challenge since the CPU isn't smart enough to exploit how shitty they are.

It's still not really worth it, but if for some reason you want to suffer through it, several of the Trainer Challenge CPUs will happily fuck themselves over through not knowing how to retreat or failing to understand the effects of AZing their only Pokémon.

Is this rare?

The card is normally a Holo rare in the set, yet I pulled a reverse Holo of it. Is it normal for the actual card art to still be Holo in addition to what you normally have Holo on reverse holos?

In other words, is it normal for the whole card to be shiny including the artwork?

Aromatisse in fairy decks is practically a noob trap. Aromatisse is great for toolbox decks because it allows you to change attackers on the fly. There isn't enough variety in the fairy type to warrant using Aromatisse. And there hasn't been a format where a pokemon was safe from OHKOs since Mega Kangashkan was going to top 4s, so abusing Max Potion isn't possible. Losing Aromatisse means practically nothing for fairy except that they might print stronger fairy cards.

It's a solid fighting deck, but there is a lot of room for improvement thanks to newer sets. The deck here resembles a modern fighting deck, although still with room for improvement. The main differences are that Carbink is stronger than Landorus and Zygarde is a bit stronger than Lucario.

Most other things are trainer optimizations that you can easily remedy.

I think Ghosts should've been moved to Dark in Gen IV when they moved Poison to Psychic, the entire reason they moved Poison to Psychic was to balance out the number of pokemon in each type, but now Psychics are overpopulating sets instead of Grass Types so the problem just got shifted to another type rather than actually being solved.

And by doing this, it would mean that Poisons would be weak to Psychics, regular Psychics would be weak to Darks (now representing Ghosts and Darks, 2/3 of Psychics's weaknesses) and the new Ghosts could just be weak to themselves.

Dumb question: Is it better to go first or second? I feel like 2nd has a slight advantage sometimes but Idk.

FAQ

Get the staples like ultra ball and sycamore, reduce your energy count,and maybe add a landrous or carbink break to accelerate your energy. Landorous is a budget option since dark hammer has one in the shop. Lando can work with fighting fury belt too.

Hawlucha as a main attacker sucks because it is a low hp EX pokemon. 130 is an easy knock out and it takes three turns to charge. Every turn is important. Get more rare candy since evolving through machoke takes a long time. Some for of switching is required because if your opponent lysandres a heavy retreat cost mon you would have to spend energy to retreat. Escape rope, float stone, switch are somethings that would help.

100 damage Hawlucha + 3 Strong energy +at least 2 Machamps + a fighting fury belt =210 but I doubt this can pull that off without heavy sacrifices. Try a different fighting type attacker.

Here's my list for my budget fighting deck as an example.

I put in the three codes and it said I got that deck three times, but I'm not seeing any new cards dded. I tried it again with another one of the codes and it did the same thing. It told me I had redeemed the deck and to go to my collection to open it, but it's not listed anywhere in my collection.

I've got at least three other codes to try, but I'm going to waste them now if it's not working.

Go to the tournaments section and spend them on coin-entry tournaments. You win tickets that you can use to enter ticket-entry tournaments which wins you tradeable packs.
If you really just want to buy boosters in the store, then go for it. In the past I would have told you to never ever do that or save up for the bundles (since they only used to sell 5-card packs for 100 coins each that had extremely shit pull rates), but they do 10-card packs now which are worth buying.
