I played every game except red and blue so I thought I would give them a try.

Why are these so easy?
I'm currently at the 4th gym and I already have 3 Pokemon (Nidoking, Arcanine and Jolteon) that are 10 levels above the rest (without grinding).

People are really over-exaggerating the easiness of the newer gens.

Someone post that image of some of the movesets used by other trainers.

Overleveling mons makes all the games easy.

I didn't even try to over level my mons. I just battled every trainer. No wild Pokemon whatsoever.

It's easy to overlevel in the early game, but they'll catch up to you in the second half and completely pass by you once you're in the elite 4.
