Turns out they drove there just to take over a nearby gym. Sadly they were also Instinct, so I couldn't hang out and beat them repeatedly, but I did eventually add my own Pokemon to the gym.

I'm looking to add a strong grass type to my 6 to fight against the endless Vaporeons that are in gyms. I know I could just fight Vaporeon with Vaporeon but where's the fun in that.

Exeggutor can only have psychic moves as its fast move, and solar beam 13.3 dps best grass

Yet Exeggutor is ranked higher than Vileplume as a grass when Vileplume has razor leaf and petal blizzard at 15.6

Would Vileplume make more sense for my "fighting Vaporeons" specialist?

Venusaur has vine whip (+5 dps compared to razor leaf) and petal blizzard [but I don't think I'll be getting a Venusaur anytime soon because I'll be waiting for a 90%+ IV Bulbasaur/Ivysaur and I don't find them often]

I find Oddish fairly frequently.

Later on I'll be using Zapdos against Vaporeons - but for now do you think Vileplume is the best option to take?

Pretty much what Instinct does here, too. The same thing has happened to be multiple times, and it's almost always Instinct players that do it. I kick them out, and I doubt they even have the time to open the shop and redeem the coins, so I'm not really sure why they do it.
There's a gym that's camped by a group of Mystics too. Sometimes I just sit opposite them and take the gym down to the last level and leave, knowing they'd have to grind away to get all 5 of them back in there. Valor is pretty rare here.

Yes, they have the best CP and HP combo, and learn pretty decent moves too.

They are A+ for both attacking and defending gyms, and since eevee only needs 25 candies to evolve, they are fairly easy to get.
Hence, every fucking gym is full of /vp/oreons.

I needed like 30 tries to get the starter because I had no idea what I'm doing. I wanted to close the game to look for info but then Eevee popped up and I wasted over 40 balls before finally catching it.
I was waiting until circle became smaller before throwing it but pokeball kept flying past Eevee, rolling over or somehow getting deflected. Oh, it had green ring.
It happened in my room and for some reason both Charmander and Eevee were standing horizontally on the walls. Is it normal?

yes that's their random cp, with each level, the cap for their cp goes up. So each time you level up, you will encounter stronger versions of the same pokemon, so it's not a good idea to invest in a pokemon until about level 20 when levels take more xp to reach so you don't waste resources and are able to buff even stronger mons.,
just level up and catch everything to get candies. you'll keep getting stronger shit just playing

Caught a fucking Gengar at level 15, it's my my favourite Pokemon. The CP is pretty crap but it's IVs are 26/30 Atk + Def and 13/15 Stam.

Is it worth it to power this bastard up or hope for something better one day? I'm a rural fag so I rarely see anything like this. It could be the bro I take along my whole journey.
