My theory is that the Slowpoke tail emits some weird oil that produces an evolution in the Shellder. So the waterstone would no longer have an effect. Likewise, nothing would happen with Cloyster biting the Slowpoke tail because it wouldn't evolve.

I've had enough of this rubbish. Either change the evo method or end this Shellder nonsense.
