Both Solgaleo and Lunaala have more links with the light and reflection coming from the Sun. Special Steel type attacks are usually light reflection based.
While the Psychic type is commonly related to space and cosmic rays and such as seen since the first gens with Clefairy line being an exception.

Seems good to me.
I don't want another legendary weak to pebbles.

I'm not sure how much Italian and European multiple lores do the Alola legendaries have but in Italian for example "solleone" which is a composed word of "sol(e) = sun" and "leone = lion" is refered to the hottest period (summer) of the year when the Sun can be found under the Lion astrological / zodiac sign and the temperatures reach their peak. In English it referred as "dog days" which is also used in the neo-Latin languages as "canicola days" from "canicola", "canicula".
Note: "the heat of late summer that the Greeks believed was actually brought on by the appearance of Sirius," a star in the constellation that the later Romans and we today refer to as Canis Major, literally the "greater dog" constellation.

Both Sirius and Sun rise and set at almost the same time between July 24th al August 26th.

I'm sure beside the romanized name, Solgaleon probably has some other references, maybe even Galileo Galilei who is also related to the Sun historically.

Lunaala will most likely have some astrological references too. It's obvious that there will be some kind of eclipse at some point, especially with Marshadow or whatever, which also uses astrological and myth related name parts.
