Based off trees that live in dry plains, where brush fires are so common the seeds are only exposed when the tree is struck by lightning or catches fire.

Normal / ghost is incredibly OP as long as the mon itself isn't shit. Normal nullifies ghost's ghost weakness and ghost nullified normal's fighting weakness, leaving only the dark weakness and 3 immunities.

Ghost is a great STAB, and normal is ok. Really depends on the moves it would have access to. STAB extreme speed / return / body slam are great.

I'm thinking some sort of giant natural incinerator. A quadrupedal creature with a giant tank on its back where it uses vegetation as fuel, flames exhaust out from 2 wooden pipes connected to a wooden chamber where the combustion occurs.

Think of a mix between Torterra and Volcanion

Pre evo could be a small pokemon with a tree stump on fire on it's back surrounded by bushes

problem with bug/ice is that all bugs are endothermic, they literally cannot survive in the cold, though a few fall into torpor in cold weather. It'd be neat to see something like autoSLP wilds make a comeback. The way Hoothoots would fall out of headbutt trees already asleep if you found them in the day. Give it an ability that forces it SLP anytime it first enters a battle. Then have it evolve into the pseudo of the region so its stats counterbalance its handicap.
