How were you supposed to know you could find the Sky Pillar?
>>
Steven/Wallace tells you.
>>
>>27340632
Look at map, talk to NPCs, explore.

It's not like Hoenn doesn't contain 99% water at any given moment.
>>
Playing the actual game instead of trying to point out its flaws all day on an imageboard.
>>
>>27340632
By not being a blind stupid idiot.

Steven or Wallace tells May and brendan
>>
>>27340632
Listen to Steven. Or actually explore the game and find it on your own, there's a lot of cool things in Hoenn's water.
>>
>>27340632
I'm sure a old man talk about that in pacifidlog town...
>>
There's at least 3 npcs before sootopolis that talk about seeing rayquaza on that route.
>>
Better question: how were you supposed to know how to open the Regi chambers without looking it up online?
>>
>>27342332
By reading the braille.
>>
>>27342332
>2016
>Not knowing how to read braille
do you even try, anon?
>>
>>27342332
There was a Braille decoder in the back pages of the guide book
>>
>>27342332
>>27342363
Which was at the back of the manual.

Hoenn was the epitome of exploration regarding Pokemon games.
>>
By actually having to find stuff for yourself instead of getting shit handed to you
>>
>be me
>playing ruby
>finish game
>pleased, decide to explore
>stumble across sky pillar
>wew we need mach bike!
>get to the top
>Wild Rayquaza
>hype

Hoenn best gen, RSE best games
>>
>>27342395
For sure, so many hidden places to find. People complain about the water, but if they'd actually explore it they'd find a ton of neat stuff. Routes 119-121 were also some of the best-designed routes in all of Pokemon.

I really liked having the open ocean to explore at my leisure. Especially with how the evil team would taunt you by saying you'll never find their base in all that ocean.
>>
>>27342481
Wasn't their base literally 5 feet away from the beach tho.

I just realized Arin's "how was I supposed to know" attitude was a joke in Metal Gear Awesome.
>How was I supposed to know that?
>Colonel tells you.
>Oh, I killed him.
He was a moron all along.
>>
>>27340632
An NPC in Lilycove mentions it I believe

That was their hideout, but they were talking about the Seafloor Cavern when they said that.
>>
>>27342504
Pretty much, the sub was harder to find though.

Exploring all the dive spots with the relaxing music was great, the underwater temple in unova was also really fun.
>>
>>27342378
Braille isn't meant to be read, tho. If you can read, you don't need to know braille.

>not having internet
What are you, some 3rd worlder?
>>
>>27343462
The manual and guidebook both had a chart.
