How do you guys determine the power and viability of the attacks in Pokemon go? I see people talking about them all the time but I don't understand what part of the blue bar(s) and the numbers determine a move's usefulness.

Bigger bar means you have to charge it up longer so it's more powerful

Ideally you want a move that is 2-3 bars for usefulness. 5 bars is useless, and 1 takes too long to charge. I'm still designing a breeding chart just to see if there is actually a difference between moveset and evolution. So far all I've noticed is if you have a Mon with moves for it's specific type, it'll stay the same type but random, and if they are moves outside of its type, it will inherit the first or second move.
OP here, also can you alternate between the two different moves for your Pokemon or are they randomly selected as you battle?
