I'm new to /vp/ don't see a thread like this, but I think it is helpful on most boards so... Questions that don't deserve their own thread.
I'll start: I'm playing through White 2 post-game after having left it gathering dust for a few years. I'm trying to do the Curtis/Yancy side quest and I forgot where I left off. I'm pretty sure I started it and I went to all of the locations in: http://www.serebii.net/black2white2/droppeditem.shtml
Now I'm just totally lost. Nothing happened at any of those spots, but I went to the ferris wheel and some male character whose name didn't show took me for a ride andprobably sucked me off. My character is male though, so I think it would be a female character if this was part of the quest?
Anyway, how do I check progress on this mission and figure out wtf to do next? I just want my togepi

update: I went back to the ferris wheel and some trainer was there. Not Yancy. Also the guy I mentioned in OP looked like Cheren. Is any of this mission time/date related?

Thanks anon for at least replying. My problem is that I don't even know when/if I ever spoke to this NPC. Before a week ago, my last login to the game was in 2014

They haven't. I tried going to the areas where you receive the calls during the first part of the quest too and checking the xtranceiver there, since some site I read suggested that

Yancy's xtransceiver is in the nimbassa amusement park south of the pikachu and pichu inflatable
