Gen IV evolutions of previous Pokémon were really weird and tended to go in completely wild directions their prevos had no connection too.

A lot of them are cool designs and implement these elements well as a standalone Pokémon, but they really do pull shit out of absolutely nowhere as evolutions.

Honchkrow is supposed to be the "boss" of an entire Murkrow swarm.
