I want to play the fifth generation games since they are the only ones I've skipped but I'm not sure if it's worth buying Black/White AND Black/White2, are they significantly different enough to warrant playing both game sets or should I just get one of the remakes?

B/W is definitely worth it. It feels like a fresh start not having access to previous gens mons until post game. 2 is only really worth it if you want a continuation of the story.
