Groudon recetly in oras. I used to save it for latios/latias back in the day. Until I learned how to trap and sleep them.

I always use it on the first thing i encounter after getting it, whatever it is.
I then train that to 100 and release it.

I only ever use it on Roamers because they're zero fun to actually hunt. I'm so glad GF seems to have realized how awful they are.

Otherwise I never use it because it's the tackiest Poke Ball.

Low catch rate legendaries I'm stuck soft resetting in front of because injection didn't exist yet. I fucking earned that maxed Speed and HP Lugia in soul silver.

Zapdos. I would go through over a dozen of ultra balls with him at 1-3 pixels of hp and a status effect with him breaking out of all of them. Mewtwo was always easy to catch, a few ultra balls at <40%hp and he'd be caught np.

Mewtwo. Only thing that looks right in it. If Mewtwo isn't available... just backup in case there's a great shiny that pops up or something. I really don't like how it looks.

In my first game I used it on the first legendary I encountered.

In gens 3-5 I never used it and saved it for if I ever encountered a shiny. In all those games I only encountered one shiny (Ponyta) and I caught it with a normal ball.

In X I didn't give a fuck because I didn't get into the game that much and used it on Zygarde. Same in AS, just used it on Rayquaza.

I use it on the version mascots. Yes, in Gen6 they're terribly easy and all that, but, it seems the most appropriate to use it for from a roleplay standpoint.

Imagine, you're a 10-12 year old kid, on a Pokemon adventure, and you're face to face with a world/people/universe-destroying creature that an enemy criminal organization is facing. Don't leave shit like that to chance, capture it and use it at full power.

Shiny Kyurem and Shiny Regigigas since it looked nice, Shiny Zekrom because I was afraid he'd struggle, Shiny female Ralts with teleport, Shiny Latias because I'm lazy, and Shiny male Seviper because I thought it had a suicidal move.
