Why can't you just say "I disagree, this desing is good because X, Y and Z". Using arguments of comparison wont help you since you're not defending anything, just shitting on someone else. I don't care what you like, you can critizice anything you wish, but it needs to be valid criticism. Something like "it doesn't fit the pokemon aesthetic" is subjective, but valid, "it deviates from its evo line", "it tries very hard to be edgy", "it is unecesary", all of these are valid points, "theres something worse" isn't because you aren't validating what you're defending.

I'm ok with mega medicham, most megas in fact, I only really like M-sableye and I can see all the problems it has, but saying "its not bad, because dusknoir is worse!" isn't defending it, its just pushing away criticism onto dusknoir.
