Normally pokemon are tracked using Google Maps API---when you're within ~150m of a pokemon, it will show up on your map, and when you get closer the "steps" will get closer until it shows up.

Unfortunately Niantic has removed this feature for now (probably to lower stress on servers, 9 api requests per person every 30 seconds or so adds up really quickly).

So, many helpful anons developed scripts to imitate a game client and give you the location of pokemon near you.

U running chrome remote access? Took me 2 mins to setup a notepad on the screen on the right. The Terminal on the left before i set out. and simply copy paste from right to left If i need to restart the terminal from fresh while out. Some things are basis for certain pokemon, I.E the park near me with a larger lake always has Krabbys and Magikarps. and things like Rattata and pidgeys seem to be filler pokemon.
