Why? Emerald sucked. Yes, it was better than Diamond and Pearl but Platinum was SOOO much better than Emerald. 3rd gen was really that bad.

If there are 100 total in this game, we're already 1/4 of the way there.
The game comes out in 4 months.

Pokemon is a 20 year old series, and people realize that.

Sure the brand loyalists will lap up anything with the Pokemon logo on it, but if they expect to gain a new audience, they'll have to keep showing off new features.
