As a franchise it couldn't settle for a single genre so never went through polishing the mechanics of the games which left us with a few interesting concepts but with lot of problems.

This particular game i've got no idea since i've not played it.

I play this game a lot. What's wrong with it is its to hard to level up for evolutions. Other than that's it's a boring card game. With huge difficulty spikes. At high levels.

Thought it was pretty cool when I was 10 at it came out. Helped that where I lived Pokemon hadn't struck yet (Middle of nowhere Kansas, but Digimon aired on Fox Kids).

Now I look at it and I find it uninteresting except for Mervamon.

Digimon world 3/2003 never got a direct sequel.

I play the shit MMO when my internet is terribly shit and I am bored. Also Cyber Sleuth is dope. But honestly the real tragedy is that Monster Rancher failed. God I miss that series. I have heard rumors that older members of Tecmo are still on board for a new game but I doubt that will happen. Who knows though

I only really liked the anime of Monster Rancher, and even then, only the first part of it. Even then, the #1 thing that bugs the junk out of me with it is that they never did all the possible hybrids.

You know, it's become apparent to me that any time a Pokemon fan gets into Digimon, they want to inject Pokemon's aspects into it. While they could do with much more easy to handle evolution methods and a better range of monster designs, digimon is fine for what it is. Some may say that the RPGs have become easy enough. I've only played Cyber Sleuth, and while that is incredibly simple, the evolutions themselves are still a pain to do right for some of them. Maybe bring back the stat persistence from Dawn/Dusk. That way, you only had to train stats once and you didn't have to do it ALL OVER AGAIN if you messed up.
