Its cause people don't read the entire thread before commenting. They just read the first post, and then add their two cents and the thead loops eternally. It is fun to discuss potential possibilities for a design.

It doesn't mean its all those options however. I think the best option is still a (giant) Wharf Roach crossed with a Trilobite, it gets all the attributes with the minimum amount of creatures added to the mix.

Every organism I listed has qualities that can be seen in Wimpods design. Notice that I didnt include the Horseshoe Crab nonsense that's been tossed around. That's because not everyone's theory is right.

The attributes of Wimpod people attribute to Silverfish are very clearly seen in Wharf Roaches, so adding it to the pot adds nothing.

And none of the iconic traits (third eye, long flat "tail" that branches into a pair of whips, the "whiskers") of the Triops is present in Wimpod, and the similarities can be better attributed to both Wharf Roach AND Trilobite.
