Shedinja is fine to use in battle spot 3v3. Next to no one bothers using entry hazards in it and just spams hyper offense.

Only battle psychic pokemon and hope for the best

I used to run an team in UU and started with Shedinja always. Having the focus sash to protect you, you know you can always use a move without KOing. I also had a magic bouncer and a M-pidgeot with defog (when it was still in UU)
It works if your predictions are good or if your opponent's are bad, it's fun to play but doesn't really add to a solid team.
Here's a match I saved where my opponent kept thinking I was going to switch in shedinja every single time but I took advantage of that and swiped without worries.
