Funny, I was thinking about this lately.

The new ridable pokemon seems like it has a sliver of hope that it's free roam, so I was thinking that if so, it'll likely have a list of maybe 5-20 eligable pokemon in each of those categories you listed OP.

I didn't consider sawsbuck. If they animate all forms, I would use either winter or autumn otherwise sticking with gogoat.

And i'm sure that the pokemon must be a certain size and weight to ride them. And it's not to hard to make running skeletons that fits other poke. Like Rapidash, Sawsbuck, Zebstrika, and Mudsdale sharing the same horse running animation.

When I was little, Rapidash was my favorite pokemon. Before I started playing the games, someone told me it was possible to ride around on Rapidash in them. Finally got them myself and found out that it wasn't true. I don't care if it's the most boring answer to this question; I still want to ride around the region on a Rapidash.
