I think it actually has a nice concept and is well designed. It might not be a great pokemon for battles but I love it nonetheless. I also consider what would be the most badass in real life. I'll take giant flying bat dragon any day.

I dont even care mimikyu is my main man Ive never so strongly wanted a pokemon on my team from the moment I saw it.

It has that amazing typing that Ive been waiting for since fairy was announced, it has a genius design (cute with a hint of edgy) and has a sick ability. In some ways, the big black claw makes the design so much better.

Honorable mentions include heracross and slowbro.

Heracross cause it brings me back to watching the johto series, which i thought was really comfy, and slowbro because it is just such a good design.

It beat me fair and square when I fought it for the first time and I had no answer. Nobody told me water types were going to be FAST and STRONG and would eat Bellsprouts for breakfast.

This fight was fucking stupid if you picked Charmander. Especially if it's Leaf Green. It's your first fight against a fully-evolved competitively strong Pokemon, AND it outlevels you, AND it shits on the Pokemon you might have caught to fight it - Pikachu and Bellsprout. Bellsprout lost like 40 points of base special defense after Gen I, so it dies like a bitch despite the type matchup and apparently nobody thought twice about what players were actually supposed to turn to with that option having been completely sodomized.

So what were your other options, level the Magikarp into Gyarados, or time travel back to when you had access to Mount Moon so you could get a fucking Paras? Nah let's just grind the shit out of the Charmeleon I guess.

Yeah, i just used the Staryu to level my pokemon really high. Id come out with like level 25-28 pokemon. Really nice in the long run.

My favorite Pokemon, back when the games came out, was Zapdos. Remember hunting that fucker down, catching it, and feeling like a god.

Nowadays, Metagross. Fell in love with it the moment I saw the Deoxys movie, and from then on, had to have it on every team I made.

Steel types in general, I'm a huge fan of, actually. Would always try to make a Steel themed team, and there are enough decent dual types that my type coverage doesn't feel like shit.
