Why so you still like pokemon?

I have and will always love the concept of exploring a brand new world to collect aesthetically pleasing or interesting monsters, and I also derive satisfaction from the training, leveling up, and battling as anyone does in any well-designed RPG.

I love the Pokemon, I love the regions, I love the music, and I like (parts of) the community.

Gen III is what brought me in, HGSS and Gen V guaranteed I'll never leave. SM is also exciting me quite a bit.

I'm not sure that I do. I'm normally on /mu/... But my wife left me.. I lost my job.. I have no friends..my parents are dead.. I'm in a really grey place right now. I hadn't played Pokemon since '08.. A few days ago I booted up emerald and it helped me forget my life for a moment or two.. So now I'm here. Preoccupying my mind, trying to forget who I am.
