no dont evolve anything lower than 500cp and only use candy if theyre 1000+ after they evolve

Focus on leveling and getting boatloads of pidgeys. Dont waste any candy, don't evolve, dont transfer. When you have like 30 or so Pokemon you can evolve, pop a lucky egg and level up. Then repeat until lvl20.

After that you can focus on getting pokemon stronger.

All of these are shit. Not even just like "below average" shit, I mean "how do these survive in the wild?" shit.

Save your candies, save your stardust. Level up yourself more, more powerful pokemon will appear. When your mons start to be around CP 200 you can start evolving them and taking on weaker gyms. When they start to be 400-650, then start using stardust in them.
It's not worth it to use resources in mons that start so weak, when in two levels the wild Pokemon will outclass them.
