It evolves into Grumpig, which I assume would be the signature pokémon of Wario and I do not like Wario. But if it doesn't evolve it's constantly close to death.

The Japanese version of pearls before swine is "neko ni koban" (to give a coin to a cat). The koban coin looks like what Meowth has on its head.
