One day (assumedly when hell freezes over), Game Freak decides that they finally wish to update their image, and that they will start by changing the mascot to a new one for the new age of Pokemon itself. This means that Pikachu is going to be eating shit here as a new face of Pokemon takes its place. They end up asking their fans who they want to have as the new mascot of Pokemon, and most pokemon are open to be suggested.
However, there are a few key factors they consider more important than any other in terms of this new mascot:
>it must have a design capable of being used for all forms of marketing
>it must be something that can appeal to both adults, kids and veterans of the series
>it must be something that truly fits what pokemon is like at its core
With that all said, what one pokemon would you suggest then to Game Freak to be the new mascot of Pokemon, and the one that will appear both everywhere in the series/merchandising, and also be the new major Ashmon forever more?

My brother and I were talking about this topic the other day and came up with this exact scenario. What a perfect way to show that not only GF is changing and a company, but we as a community are growing and changing too, in all aspects.
Too bad this is a fools dream, but at least the most realistic one.
