You'll have to use gpsies to make a route, and then import it to Lockito. The guide seems to think that wasn't important to mention.

Just go to Manhatten and set yourself to walk down Broadway or something, and always make sure that you're leaving a realistic amount of time between location switches - say if where you're "going" would be a five hour drive, wait at least five hours before going there or back.

Anyone having trouble battling gyms? Every time I'm about to enter a battle, I get kicked off. As soon as the GO disappears, I'm brought back to the gym screen. I haven't seen any reports of this yet so I don't know if it's an individual problem.

My only other guess is maybe your walking speed is set too high. Humans walk at about 3-4 mph or 4-6.5 kmph. GO stops moving if you're going too fast.

As far as I've seen, XS usually has less HP for their level but attack faster/do more damage. Meanwhile XL means they usually have more HP, but attack slower.

This is all word of mouth rumor, and none of it is confirmed yet. Honesty, I don't think it really matters.

How it works is you stay at the same place on the bar above the pokemon, but it adjusts with respect to the CP cap of that pokemon.

So pretty much you keep the same ratio of the actual CP to CP cap that the Magikarp had, but it's applied to the (much higher) CP cap of the Gyarados.

Ingress was a solid app. Never froze

this app tho.. a good portion of the time the servers are closed.. And when its open, i can be on for 1-5 min before it freezes. Looks active, but i cant click on anything or rotate the screen. Gotta restart it.. And when i do catch a pokemon, it often freezes while looking at the ball. Gotta restart it. They didnt get the rights to use pokemon and reskin ingress.. Ingress was always meant to be the alpha data collection for P:GO.
Ever since it started, it was obvious its real function was to gather user-submitted locations and test some of the gaming mechanics to iron out an app like this. Notice how P:GO doesnt have the ability to submit new locations.. The whole point of ingress was to establish these.. let people submit or dispute them, get it stable, then use this for a new game that wasnt so in-development.

Honestly, i wanted something new.. Everyone knew this but i was hoping itd go to an original property; not pokemon. They didnt just reskin it without some tweaks to make it less competitive; no more bombing points and defending.. just passive gym things and the battles are very much a small part of the gameplay.. They took into account that people can walk around where there arent stops, still do stuff if on mass transit or passenger, so on..

I think with the app being shit... maybe there was a deadline, a staff that wasnt ready to deal with all aspects, or some higher-up played an alpha version of the P:GO reskin and determined it was good to go ASAP.. Maybe they were still ironing out problems with ingress and pushed P:GO until it was too late and they rushed it.. Iunno.. shame cuz its such a bad functioning app that the only thing good about it is the property of pokemon

Using LG G4 stock, not rooted, was able to make my character "walk" around the block and down the street to the burned down church for a pokestop, but the stop always says "try again later" or some bullshit. No Mon on the radar, almost always shows "unable to locate GPS signal" and half the time has the character running from where he was supposed to be to where I am.

So I ran into a Dragonite in my room a few days ago. I just started, so I have no idea whether or not its stats are good.

It came with 252 CP (I was only level 6 at the time, dunno if that influenced how high it's CP was), was XS, and Dragon Breath and Hyper Beam. It's at 405 CP now and the dot in that CP arc is just under the midpoint, if that means anything. Any good?

The higher your level, the higher the CP cap of your Pokemon.
You don't level them up; you power them up with stardust + candy. Which you do AFTER evolving, because moves change upon evolution and you don't want to waste resources if they turn out bad.

Lucky eggs just make your trainer gain double exp. They don't do anything for Pokemon.

It's fairly clear that none of you that complain about the app not working has any idea the scale of this thing and how fucking incredible it is that it doesn't just shut down 100% across the board for every person.

I'm a network engineer and I can tell you right now that it is a fucking miracle that the sociability of the software and the insane amounts of data requests from the server as well as how cleverly designed the game is just completely shits on all of your complaints. It is such an incredible miracle ANY of this works at all. The servers essentially getting DDOS'd all day long and they just keep chugging along no problem.

Save your stardust for now. You get higher CP pokemon as your level goes up, it's a simple waste to power up anything now.

Catch everything you can for the exp and stardust, but especially gather lots of Pidgey, Weedle and Caterpie, they all evolve with a mere 12 candies. Save off evolving anything else too. Then pop a lucky egg once you have a lot of them and go on an evolution spree.
Evolving a pokemon gets you 500 exp normally (same amount no matter if it takes 12 candies or 400 candies), but with the lucky egg, that's 1000 exp per evolution.
