So I'm pretty much just as furious as everybody else is about the footsteps bug, but we've pretty much confirmed it's happening to literally everybody and started happening out of the blue.

It's really fucking dumb that your radar, something completely specific to you, which merely tells you a distance based on information it grabs from the server that it is obviously fucking getting otherwise we wouldn't get any pokemon period.

This is besides the point.

I theorize that they turned off the distance radar on purpose to lower server load. This seems reasonable to me.

Just practicing dodging. It's really hard with all the lag. The best strategy for taking a gym at the moment by far is teaming up on it. Especially if you use a tank/DPS strategy and the tank just dodges.

I'm not sure it's practical to dodge when attacking solo or not since you get in fewer attacks. If your battles aren't laggy as hell it would definitely work though.

Save stardust, you'll be wasting it as the leveling up gives you much higher CP pokemon via catching than you could get leveling em' individually.

For gyms, just go around 1 hour before your timer is up (check the shop), capture as many as possible, and cash out.

I usually can capture/hold 9+ gyms right before my timer resets.

I've bought like 4 bag upgrades so far for free.

Mystic - People who think they're way cooler and smarter than they are. A lot of closeted nerds who are fairly reserved though.

Valor - The bunch who're most competitive, but generally the most normie. They seem to be the most eager to approach other players and ask what team they're on or level they're at. Usually give others a hard time for being on an opposing side.
