Is gamefreak forcing every S/M pokémon into being fairy type?

I think it's good, hopefully now well have more good fairy types like pikaboo. Adding more variety and less just cute ones. I feel like a way better step would be a lot more fairy moves.

There are just as many Fairy types revealed as Bug, Normal, and Electric types. So no.

What the hell is so wrong with trying to make a proportionate amount of fairy Pokemon?

In gen 2 there was less than 5 dark types, and then in gen 3 they had enough dark types to have a dark-type elite four member.

The only problem with fairy type is that they don't seem to have any guidelines for what makes a Pokemon a fairy type. Literally any design could be part fairy
