At least, this guy tried to do something other than the freaking usual "flaming tiger/lion" trope shredded in fucking fire. I think the gimmick of it changing fur color is neat, don't get me wrong. And I don't really hate the design, nor do I hate Persian's, but it's just that to me it feels too simplistic to be a final evolution of a starter, especially if you compare it to the other two designs.

I know that the earlier starters were simplistic but current designs are more detailed, and it just makes the panther feel out of place, at least to me.

Checking it back then, the drawings seem way too accurate for it to have been traced.

Although I found it weird about the fact that he could have just posted these with no color splashes and yet, he went through the effort just to have them, unless he already had these made.

Also, I might be the only one thinking it was weird how Sun and Moon are very clearly 7th gen due to new starters and new pokemon and these images (the mega evolutions, final evolutions, middle evolutions ones) came with 6th gen in their filenames, not once, not twice but three times. Although you could argue this guy had the whole "6.5 generation" mindset.

Yes, I know it looks more akin to the old starters, but then again those were designs from the early days of the franchise. Pokemon has grown through the years and the artstyle has changed.
