Continuing the Alan discussion: why would Alan keep following Lysandre's orders once he sees their Zygarde stomping all over Lumiose? He's kind of a douche but not evil. The only way he wouldn't switch sides then would be if TF threatened to hurt Manon.

I don't get it. The title doesn't say who the victor is. Ash could easily lose, or the battle could be interruoted and Ash could be the "victor" in an unofficial way. We don't really know if he'll be a pokemon league champion, and it seems weird that they woukd deliver on that front AFTER showing you the title at the beginning of the episode.

Am I crazy? Have they done this before with titles? Where they tell you explicitly what the outcome is?

The title doesn't really say what the outcome is. It just says that it's the battle for victory and that it's Ash's ultimate battle. Still the way they hype it up it does make the title seem ironic, something they've done plenty of times before.
