I suppose to be fair, Orre is a spin-off game.

Also to be fair, the US has some pretty diverse geographies even in single states.

I suppose now that my dream of a Hawaiian region has been realized though, my next hope would be for maybe a region based on like Eastern Europe or something for some Slavic Folkmyth based pokemon.

Well we had 4 based on Japan (even though only the first two felt Japanese. The latter 2 were much more OC)

We need more Europe though. Easily the most interesting and varied set of inspirations for Vidya.

If anything it looks more like a barren wasteland you'd find in Fallout games.

Southwest deserts are actually very lively, there's a shitton of flora and fauna there.

West coast region would be pretty amazing environments wise if they went all of California up to Seattle. We could get TWO forests, the sequoia forests and then the pacific rain forest.

Kalos being boring was not Europe's fault, a well done French region would be fantastic. I'd rather Germany or the UK, but still. Game Freak was just really lazy with XY, it's looking like XY was just a testing ground for SM.
