Why is it so hated?

I like it. I think its easily the most aesthetic starter of gen 5 (like thats hard to do) and due to Contrary he's the best competitively.

It is? I just started replaying Black, and picking a starter made me realize Serperior is one of my favorite Pokemon. It's so fucking beautiful!

switched my Servine with a Maractus in W2 and never looked back. I do like Serperior though, I have that distributed one with the hidden ability, wouldn't be adverse to breeding it.

It's one of the few pokemon that manages to be shit in game.
