I live right by a Pokéstop in brooklyn. Last night at around 12:15 I went out to smoke a joint and then set up a lure by the pokestop and just hung up.

10 minutes later, an NYPD cop car rolls up, stays there for about 3 minutes. I look up, he rolls down the window and asks "You here for the pokemon?"

Today I took a bus and the driver was playing go. He caught a weedle while I was getting on.

The day before I stopped at a cafe near a triple lure spot and the waiter asked me if I put down the lure and told me that he caught a pidgey on his way to work.

I went downtown with my friends to a park that has tons of stops, a few gyms, and lures galore. There is probably 200-300 people all playing Pokemon Go. We made a new friend who joined my group and he was way more experienced than us so he gave us lots of good advice. The best part of the night was when the servers went down and you could see the huge shift in attitude. "Is it down for you guys?" "Yessss!" "You mean I'm walking around without hatching my eggs?" Funniest shit ever.

I already posted one story a while back. I crashed a party (pissed a lot of people off, made a kid cry).

Also, I feel self-conscious playing Pokemon Go. Everyone that is playing seems to be children-18 years of age. I am 23 in about 15 days. I guess I look older. Everyone keeps calling me ma'am or miss or "that nice lady over there" and I've been asked several times which kid is mine, out of a group of probably 7-13 year olds. And of course I'm being judged when I say that I have no children.

Went to a triple lure spot. There was a dude in a wheelchair catching pokemon on four phones at once.

Also there are no X0 damage moves aka immunity so Normal attacks Ghost and Ground attacks Flying and all that. Also double weaknesses or strenghts doesn't exist too. So no X4 damage. Seriously, Mysti-cucks are the fucking worst. It's becoming a problem downtown where I live. The first few days, all teams were evenly represented, and gyms would change colors every couple of hours. Now, finding one that isn't Bandwagon-blue with 6 1000CP+ Pokemon is almost impossible.

My honesty analysis of the 3 teams.

None of that "LOL 2 TEAMS ARE BAD AND ONE IS GOOD" shit.

Yellow - Autistic, aspies, tryhards, memelords, and hardcores. Certainly the most intense players I've come across have been yellow. These seem to be the people who have played Pokemon since day one, and have probably completed several pokedex's from various games to soothe their extreme autism. Most likely has a crippling, CWC level of obsession about a specific mon.

Blue - Weebs, betas, emo kids, white trash and thugs. God knows why their is an overlap between the guys who wear their pants at their knees and guys who shout things like "YATTA!" or "KIMOCHI!!" when they catch a mon. The one thing that always seems to stand out about blues is the horrible sense of fashion, and the general feeling that they're stuck in the mid 2000s

Red - Normies, Chads, Stacys, obnoxious loudmouths. "Lets drink some brews and catch some mons bro!". It's all fine and good if you're into that sort of thing. Reds seem to make up the majority of the "social players". I overheard a group of reds talking about how PoGo is better for picking up chicks than tinder. Very few in this group seem to have played the games after first gen, and idiotic, unconfirmed rumors spread like wildfire through the group.

Me and my buddy took the bus into the city (just Hartford) today. We're just waiting for the bus now and we got here at 10am, my feet are killing me (and a book is a must for charging breaks).

Anyway, there was a small park that was always full of people playing that we ended up at three or for times throughout the day. When we went around four though it was pretty much empty, but after we'd sat on a bench for a bit some kid came over and joined us/starting talking to us. Then another, and then another. Before long we had eight people who all knew eachother already it seemed around us talking to us and eachother. One of them brought a guitar and a few minutes later someone grabbed it from him and started playing the Pokemon theme song and eventually he and one or two other people started freestyling verses between the choruses (they were all black except one asian kid with an incredible amount of tattoos, me and my friend were the only white guys).
