Genwunner here. Probably not going to see alot of gravitas for this choice but I picked Red as a kid cause of this guy on the cover. Number Fuckin' 06 was the first ive leveled to 100 and always on my team irregardless of region.

No other fire pokemon can come close imo. He's the franchise. I build my team around him.

You know how they say you never really appreciate something until it's gone?

I never realized how much I loved Golem until Gen 5 cheated me out of catching my traditional Geodude. Gigalith, more like Gigashit. And Krookodile was pretty cool, but it just wasn't Golem.

I always hate when Pokemon have 4x type weaknesses, but it's worth it for Golem. He was the star of my battle against Cynthia, and I lost him. Thankfully Gen 6 rectified that shit.
