But Gen 6 was good. Sure, XY's story was bland and the rivals were bad, and neither they nor ORAS had post-game content, but everything else was fucking great. 3D, new type, new Pokémon, a whole new game-changing mechanic with tons of new alternate forms for old Pokémon and a story that will carry over to Gen 7. I say Gen 6 was pretty decent.

Better that he's been kepping up with Pokemon and doesn't mind Gen VI then if he likes GO.
