This will always be my favorite Pokemon game for giving you an Eevee and Teddiursa right off the bat

I do like how it wasn't locked into double battles, but I liked the atmosphere of Colosseum more.

The best Pokemon game. All time. Dead serious, was playing it this morning.

Since everything was double battles you actually have to use strategy, unlike the classic, whichever has a type advantage or a higher level always wins

Battles were entertaining to watch (I'll admit the graphics look dated today, such is life)

It featured an intriguing and original way to catch Pokemon and make them your own. (Though the purify chamber kind of made it worthless)

And it's probably the only game that has a marginally acceptable storyline to go along with it. (Black and White were alright I guess)

So yeah, best game, and still my favorite

My favorite Pokemon game. The plot was super interesting, the shadow Pokemon gave an interesting twist to the capture scheme, and the 3D battles made my preteen heart tremble. It was beautiful. And the characters were funny, too.

Amen, that combo made me so happy.

The addition of wild pokemon was a cool idea, but the lack of variety and low levels really made them not worth trying to use.

Finally caught/purified all shadow pokemon. Thought it was bullshit that Greevil still had Rhydon after beating him. Spent 20 hours running around for Miror B thinking that he had Rhydon.

who else /umbriursa/? loved umbreon even tho I didn't know it was a defensive poke at the time

This and colli was edgy as fuck
