Try clearing the cache (Google it for your OS - for iOS, you hold the lock button until Slide to Power Off comes up, then hold the home button until that goes away. Forgot how to do it on Android but I think it's under settings).

Mine shuts down after hanging on this screen for like 30+ seconds. Tried clearing data, reinstalling and updating Maps app. No luck.

I have no idea why other than my phone being shit and completely choking trying to run it.
