If they make Mega Arcanine, I hope it just stays pure Fire. There aren't any types you could add to it that wouldn't drastically change its design or just make it worse. And it for sure doesn't deserve to get the muh Fairy treatment.

Giving Arcanine an -ate ability would make him so broken it'll make Talonflame look like a shitmon.

Fire stab +2 priority that gets boosted by 30% from 110 (+ all additional points the mega evolution gives him) attack.

Sounds like something GF would do.

I still like the Fire/Dragon thing, though. Sticks to the whole Chinese theme.

Depends on if you need a physical tank or a good physical damage dealer. The first set is slightly outclassed by Entei however. It has better coverage but worse STAB (Sacred Fire > Flare Blitz)

I ran this Arcanine last year and it worked okay. I live in a shithole and go to tournaments and such isn't possible, but ranked battles and others events counts a little I guess.

It was able to stop dangerous foes alone, and when it was about to kick the can, a last second Helping Hand could net you a KO that otherwise you'll be unable to get.

CB Intimidate is legit in doubles too, since everyone expects Tank or Support; but sadly, yes, is irrelevant this year, but is funny to think that Vanilla Charizard is getting some use.

Ye, that looks pretty good, too. I think I've seen a team get second place in some national for this vgc with a CB Arcanine. It was a RayOgre team that run Ludicolo as well. Really wish there was any videos of it in action.
