Normies love anything Pokemon related that they don't have to spend money on or really put effort into. Just like Twitch Plays Pokemon...everyone was in on it because it was nostalgic and easily accessible, but when they started Crystal nobody gave a shit, the fun had faded. I don't think new content can save GO, mostly because 90% of the people playing won't recognize the updated Pokemon.

Without a data plan can still get some stuff. The ability to set your house as a stop that only you can use would be cool too (12 hour cool down).

As someone who started playing pokemon go in the city and just got back home in the suburbs, the game is really unbalanced. I got to level 10 and got a shit ton of pokemon in the city and now in the suburbs I can barely find any pokemon and when I do its some stupid shit like a caterpie or something.

I can appreciate the motivation to go new places, but it would also be nice to be able to at least grind pidgeys around my neighborhood. After the hype dies down I don't see myself driving at least 20 minutes to get pokeballs and play for about an hour before my phone dies. It is worth it now to see other out staring at their phone and get some street passes, but I don't think the game will last at this rate unless they make the basics more accessible to everyone. Maybe the developers are hoping that people will realize that paying for pokeballs is cheaper than paying for gas.
